BrewZilla 2" Tri-Clover Steam Condenser Set

£115.00 Regular price £125.00
Item is in stock Hurry, Only 10 Left! Item is out of stock Item is unavailable

This brewing accessory from Kegland lets you brew in doors without the associated steam issues. Its made from 2" Stainless steel Triclamp tubing and fittings and is a heavy weight premium bit of kit.

The lid included in option 4 will fit a Brewzilla 35L, Grainfather G30 or T500.

There are a number of options to help you easily choose the best kit for you. If you have a 35L Brewzilla (any generation) or Digiboil 35L option 4 will give you everything you need to condense your steam. If you already have some bits then the other options may be better for you.

Option 1 - Just the Steam Condenser as it comes from Kegland.

Option 2 - As above plus a few fittings to enable easy attachment of a standard UK female (hoselock type) fitting.

Option 3 - As above plus a 2" tri clamp bulkhead fitting. This lets you convert a stainless Brewzilla lid to allow tri clamp connections (which are on the steam condenser).

Option 4A - As above plus a stainless lid with 47mm hole. The lid will fit a Brewzilla 35L, Grainfather G30 or T500.

Option 4B -  As option 2 but with a pro distillation sight glass 2" triclamp lid instead of the standard stainless lid and triclamp bulkhead.

If you want a different combination of parts you will need to order these separately.

IMPORTANT WARNING

It is important that the output tube for this steam condenser is open to atmosphere.  This will allow the condensed steam to exit freely.
DO NOT - put a valve on the liquid output or restrict the condensed steam in any way as this may cause your brewery to develop vacuum and implode or explode
DO NOT- immerse the tube for the condensed steam in water.  The outlet hose must be open to atmosphere and the drips of condensed steam must drip into your collection bucket freely.

From Kegland:

The End Cap can be removed for brewing salts/hops and other brewing essentials to be added during the boil. Please note hot steam through this port can lead to serious scalding, please use heatproof gloves.

Not only will you get to the boil faster, but you will use less power overall to maintain a rolling boil as there will be less area for the heat to escape. No need to install inside a kitchen, or in the garage with a special rangehood. Simply attach this to the Condenser Lid and run your kitchen tap, garden hose to the inlet. You don't not need super-fast flow rate to cool boiling steam into liquid. Different to distillation where you require the distillate to be under a certain temperature so that ethanol doesn't evaporate from the liquid at a high rate, with boiling wort you just need enough to form a liquid! Pretty simple.

Eco-Friendly option if you have the means to save/collect the coolant water. Can be re-used on the garden or for cleaning later on. Please note the water discharging will be very hot!

The Spray head can condense 1.6 litres per minute while connected to 100 psi mains water.

This Condenser kit includes (From BKT - THIS IS OPTION 1):
5 x 2 Inch Tri-Clover Clamps
5 x 2 Inch Tri-Clover Double Beaded Silicone Seals

Brewing frequently asked questions

How long does it take to brew beer?

The time it takes to brew beer can vary, but on average, the process takes about 4 to 6 weeks. This includes the various stages such as malting, mashing, boiling, fermenting, conditioning, and bottling. However, some beer styles may require longer aging periods for optimal flavor development.

Is home brewing worth it?

Many people find home brewing to be a rewarding and enjoyable hobby, allowing them to create unique and customised beers. It provides a deeper understanding of the brewing process and offers the opportunity to experiment with different ingredients and styles. Additionally, home brewing can be cost-effective in the long run compared to purchasing craft beers. However, it requires time, effort, and a certain level of commitment. Whether it's worth it ultimately depends on one's passion for brewing and the satisfaction derived from the process and the end product.

Is home brewing legal?

Home brewing for personal use is generally legal, and there is no need for a specific license as long as certain conditions are met. Home brewers are allowed to produce beer, wine, and cider for personal consumption. However, there are limits on the amount that can be brewed without a license. As of January 2022, the limits were 100 litres for beer and 100 litres for wine per household.

It's important to stay informed about any updates or changes in the regulations, so it's advisable to check with local authorities or brewing associations for the most current information regarding home brewing laws in the UK. Always ensure that you comply with the relevant regulations and guidelines to enjoy home brewing within the legal framework.
