Which Home Brewing Beer Kit Is Right for You?
Malt Extract Beer Kits - Best for Beginners
The simplest way to start home brewing. Our malt extract beer brewing kits from Muntons and Mangrove Jack's contain concentrated hopped malt extract plus yeast, just add water, ferment for 2–3 weeks, and you're ready to bottle or keg. These brew kits require no mashing, no specialist brewing equipment beyond a basic fermenter.
All-Grain Beer Kits - Best for Experienced Brewers
Our all-grain beer brewing kits are designed for brewers who want full control and pub-quality results at home. Every kit is brewed to a specific recipe, including clone kits for beers like Verdant Lightbulb, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Tribute, and Proper Job. Grain is milled fresh in-house on the day of dispatch, and hops are nitrogen flushed in pre-weighed individual foil bags. All kits are 20 litres - sized to fill a 19L corny keg with a little left for samples. Our home brewing kits at this level do require additional brewing equipment, such as a BrewZilla, plus a fermenter.

Home Brewing FAQs
What is the best home brewing kit for beginners?
For most people just starting out home brewing, a malt extract kit is the way to go. They take the complexity out of the process while still producing great tasting beer.
Is it cheaper to brew your own beer at home?
In most cases, yes. Once you have the basic equipment, a home brewing kit that makes 40 pints typically works out significantly cheaper per pint than buying the equivalent from a shop. The upfront cost of equipment is the main investment, but it pays for itself pretty quickly if you brew regularly, but it's also a fun hobby!
What are the most common home brewing mistakes?
Not sanitising and cleaning properly is the big one. Any bacteria left in your equipment can ruin a batch before fermentation even gets going. Follow the instructions, keep things clean, and be patient. The beer will thank you for it.
