Jester® and its sister Olicana® are both seedlings of Cascade. It was our first foray into New World aromas and remains the most widely planted of our proprietary varieties.
Punchy and resinous, the flavor profile of Jester® balances well with dark malts and full bodied beers. Its citrus notes are highlighted when used with a light hand or as part of a blend.
Commercially released in 2013, Jester® has good wilt resistance and is tolerant to Downy and Powdery Mildew.
